Jean-Pierre MartineauandClaude Opus 5.5 11b5274b31 Docstrings and comments of the tests are in ASD-STE100
Each test docstring states the behaviour that the test proves, in the
simple present. No assertion message, test id, or other string literal
changed. Four statements now agree with the code: the Trace highlight
stays on the last row, a menu count, and two others.

Two failures affect one lane. First, a cut in the middle of an emoji sequence leaves a
stranded joiner. The joiner folds the ellipsis that follows it into the glyph before it.
Then the lane measures one cell less than the terminal draws, and each column to the
right of the name starts late. Second, a name that has a newline or an escape ends the row
in the middle of the lane, whatever the measurement is. ``fit_cells`` corrects both
failures (refer to :mod:`meshterm.ui.tui.emoji_width`). Each column in the app uses this
one helper to fit its labels, so the correction covers each column.
