Patreon becomes GitHub's built-in `patreon:` entry, so the sidebar shows patreon.com/MeshTerm with its icon like Buy Me a Coffee, and the Support page carries the same short URL (a smaller QR code too). PayPal stays the hosted donate button, only without its scheme in FUNDING.yml: a paypal.me link would let a donor pay as goods and services and claim a refund for an item that never arrived, which the donate button's donation label avoids.
