Replace the slope-keyed _SHIFT_RATIO (dots of run per dot of drop) with _CURVE_SPAN, the fraction of a lane change's column gap given to the eased curve; the rest splits into the two flat platforms the nodes sit on. The platform-to-curve proportion now holds constant however far a node drops or however wide the columns fall, instead of the curve widening with the drop.
