tests/test_writing_style.py rejects an em dash, a semicolon, a
contraction, or a Latin abbreviation in a docstring, a comment, or the
prose of a document. It does not read code font, quoted text, code blocks,
URLs, or legal text between <!-- ste: off --> and <!-- ste: on -->.
